Added Self Defense For Walking Or Running Mom’s & Their Babies

Baby Protection, Pepper SprayAdded Self Defense For Walking Or Running Mom’s & Their Babies

If you’re a jogging, running or walking mom with a stroller or wheeled jogger.  You and your baby are easy prey for any attacker.  The Baby Saver pepper spray model is your chance to be in control of a bad situation.

If a stray dog starts running towards you to attack your baby or bite at your feet, you can easily pull your pepper spray bottle out of the Baby Saver holder and stop the dog in his tracks.   The flipside to this, is if you had nothing to defend you and your baby, both of you could have gotten seriously injured.

Any stranger looking for an easy victim to mug or kidnap will be looking for a defenseless women.   With the Baby Saver pepper spray unit, you can spray a high powered stream of the hottest pepper spray on the market up to 10 feet away towards any threatening person.  This will put the attacker on his knees and give you time to get your baby and yourself out of the area.

Being prepared is key to you and your babies safety while you’re out jogging, running or walking in parks, sidewalks or simply in your neighborhood.

Besides having a self defense spray, here are some other help tips before you head out with your stroller or wheeled jogger.

Lock the front wheel

Some jogging strollers have a fixed front wheel, while others have a switch that allows you to lock and unlock the wheel. When you’re running with the stroller, it’s safest to lock the front wheel in place. This will prevent the stroller from turning suddenly and causing you to crash or fall.

Pack wisely

Most jogging strollers have a basket underneath, as well as other compartments or holders, so you should have plenty of room for things you might need during your run. Don’t forget diapers, wipes, water (for you and your child), snacks, and a toy or book to entertain your child.  Don’t forget to strap on your Baby Saver pepper spray before heading out.

Protect your child from the elements

Remember that you’ll warm up because you’re running, but your child will not. So bundle her up in the cooler weather. If it’s cold and windy, you may want to use a weather shield for your stroller. On warm days, make sure your child is not overdressed and protected with the stroller’s visor as well as sunscreen. Keep your runs short on very cold or hot days (or leave your child with your spouse or sitter).

Strap your child in with the full harness

The harness will protect your child from falling out or getting shaken. Even if you’re not moving too quickly, the harness will prevent him from reaching out and getting his fingers caught in the wheels.

Avoid running near cars as much as possible

It is a good idea to run in parks, bike paths, or other areas where the roads are closed to traffic.

Schedule runs wisely

Before naptime is often a good time for a run because the movement may put your child to sleep. It’s not a good idea to try to run right before a meal, when your child will be hungry and may not want to sit in the stroller.

Don’t run hands-free

You may be tempted to push your stroller a little and let it go, so you can run hands-free, but it’s not a good idea. The stroller could easily get away from you, which is unsafe for your child and anyone else around you.

Wrist Saver Pepper Spray - Women's Safety At NightWrist Saver Pepper Spray

The Wrist Saver pepper spray unit, is not all about carrying pepper spray.  Running last night on the country roads of Indiana, the Wrist Saver saved me from oncoming cars knocking me into the ditch countless times.

With short days in the fall and winter, we almost have no choice but to workout at night.  The Wrist Saver’s super bright LED light, which can been seen from almost a mile away, is a life saver.  Whether it’s oncoming cars or cars pulling out of a parking lot, the drivers really focus on the light as you swing your arm forward.  A very nice complement to the LED light, is the highly reflective edging.

 So, Running At Night?

Make sure to consider the Wrist Saver.  It’s a great addition to your nightly workout gear by keeping you safe by being seen while you’re running, walking or jogging  at night.

The skinny on the WRIST SAVER

Share this posting, you could help save a life, some day.

The Wrist Saver is a great way to give yourself that added self protection while doing your favorite activities such as:wrist saver, jogging, pepper spray, self defense, walking, running
–          Running
–          Jogging
–          Hiking
–          Inline Skating / Rollerblading
–          Walking
–          Walking your dog
–          Crossing college campus

The Wrist Saver pepper spray product was designed to be very compact, light weight and comfortable.  It was originally designed when owners Derek Downing and Chad Smith inline skated professionally and needed some added protection out on the open roads training from crazy motorists and stray dogs that nipped at their skates.

Back in the early days the Wrist Saver was a simple elastic band with a loop to hold the bottle of pepper spray.  The Wrist Saver today has now evolved into a much more useful piece of personal safety equipment.  Besides the original idea of having a wrist band that holds a small bottle of pepper spray, it now features:
–          ½ oz. Bottle of OC pepper spray.
–          Highly reflective edging, that’s around the entire band.
–          LED Light, so that car oncoming cars and cars pulling out of parking lots can see you.
–          Personal Emergency ID card that can hold all your vital emergency information in case the unthinkable happens.
–          A very comfortable and light weight neoprene wrist band with Velcro hook and loop ends to adjust it to your own wrist size.

The Wrist Saver has become a complete safety product for the active person.  You could say it’s the Swiss Army knife of workout safety.

Wearing the Wrist Saver is a great way for the average person to be able to defend themselves against any attacker.  Personal defense classes are fine but let’s face it, not all of us are Chuck Norris.  The pepper spray bottle can be removed fast and easy, so you can spray the attacker quick and effortlessly.  You can be up to 8-10 feet away, so no need to whip out your fighting skills.  Once the attacker is sprayed, he’ll be stained by the pepper spray dye and be incapacitated for up to 45 minutes.  This will give you plenty of time to get away to safe and secure location.

There’s no need to be afraid of:wrist saver, jogging, pepper spray, self defense, walking, running
–          Working Out By Yourself
–          Park & Trail Muggings
–          Aggressive Dogs
–          Unruly Motorists
–          Bad Neighborhoods
–          Going Out At Night
–          Walking To Your Car
–          Working Out By Yourself

We’ve worked really hard to keep the price very affordable for everyone out there.  For the cost of a few gallons of gas, you can purchase a Wrist Saver that could save your life.  You can always purchase a Wrist Saver from our online store by clicking HERE.

About Personal Savers

The idea for Personal Savers was born in 1995 by Derek Downing and Chad Smith, two national and world champion professional inline speed skaters. While training on the open roads in Georgia, they always came across unruly drivers and stray dogs nipping at their feet. Derek's father David Downing owned an in house pepper spray business that sold to police forces worldwide which helped spark the idea of the original Wrist Saver.

The original Wrist Saver was a crude version of itself today but the concept to keep people safe while being active was born. That idea grew into an actual company, but with the strains of traveling for competitions the business was put on hold...
