Personal Savers are revolutionizing the way active women can protect themselves. The canisters come in three different styles, each made specifically for running, walking or cycling. Extracted from cayenne peppers, the spray causes an attacker's senses to temporarily shut down so you'll have time to get away. The lightweight design offers a special holster for easy access and an LED light.

A product even McGyver would be proud of, Personal Savers are revolutionizing the way you protect yourself while enjoying your favorite activities. There are three models: the Personal Saver that can be clipped onto your running belt, the Wrist Saver that can be worn while running, and the Cycle Saver that attaches to your handle bars. They offer a highly functional design with an easy-twist lock top, special holster for easy access, a powerful 10-foot spray, LED light, highly reflecting edging, I.D. card, and an LED light that enhances your visibility from as far as one mile away. The pepper spray is extracted from cayenne peppers and creates an intense burning sensation on the eyes, skin and throat and can cause an attacker's senses to temporarily shut down and give you time to get away.

So I'm pretty stoked about this pepper spray. Weird to say that, but yea, this is probably the most brilliant idea ever. B had gotten me a large pepper spray to run with not that long before I got this one, but I love how this one goes on my wrist on a little velcro strap! It is by Personal Savers Pepper Spray and I wanted to do a little review of it, since I love it and it's going to be getting darker earlier so it helps with my sense of safety. It also has a little pocket for a little form of ID.

I always wear it facing outwards so that in case I need to use it (hopefully not), it's in a position to spray outward instead of at me. I like how it's there and I know how to flip the little cap on the top to make it work easily. Another feature I like is the fact that it has somewhat of a safety switch to make sure it's not going to go off if I accidentally press it while out running. Thank goodness, or I'm sure I would pepper spray myself....

I got my Wrist Saver today that I won from Personal Savers and I LOVE it! There is a tiny can of pepper spray (no, it won't do much, but it will hopefully do enough!) and an LED light that you can push and hold to turn on or flip a switch & it stays lit, plus the band is completely reflective! It fits just like a watch, which makes it perfect for a solo runner like me!! The pepper spray that goes on an armband never seemed too useful to me...have you seen me try to change my Pandora song in that thing when I'm running?! lol Anyway, this is totally an awesome female-runner or outdoor person gift and its like $15 or less! I ordered the small size and it fits my wrist perfectly.

I wore this for running and while I was worried it was going to be bulky and uncomfortable, I really forgot I had it on. This would make a great gift for a college student, runner or just any lady on your list you need a little more security. Personal savers has options for running, cycling and just walking around.

I actually really like dogs, but I don't like big scary ones chasing me in the middle of nowhere. One of the trails I love to ride is the Frisco Highline trail. Its a awesome trail that travels through a few cities and then ventures off into some kinda scary areas. Lets just say if I was to have an issue i'm not sure how long it would be before someone found me. Well its trails like this that got me thinking about some sort of protection device. I wanted something small and simple. I also wanted something that would protect me but not kill an animal or leave it blind. I have zero interest in guns or anything radical like that. So i decided on a system that Personal Savers makes for bicycles.

Its a really slick system that is very light and simple. Mounting it on my bike took about a minute. The mount is so small that I will just leave it on my bike even on days I don't take the actual pepper spray. The mount itself holds a 1/2 ounce bottle of some serious pepper spray. It is enough for 10-20 10 foot shots. I think this would be a big deterrent to someone who was messing with me.

I have only had the mount and spray a few weeks but I have to say it has made me feel more confident when i am out on late night rides. Its a really great little system that does exactly what I need it to do. Luckily I haven't needed to try out the actual pepper spray but i am sure it will work great when I need it. Personal Savers also make some other models for runners, skiers, hikers. They make a quality product! Check them out if you are looking for some peace of mind.

About Personal Savers

The idea for Personal Savers was born in 1995 by Derek Downing and Chad Smith, two national and world champion professional inline speed skaters. While training on the open roads in Georgia, they always came across unruly drivers and stray dogs nipping at their feet. Derek's father David Downing owned an in house pepper spray business that sold to police forces worldwide which helped spark the idea of the original Wrist Saver.

The original Wrist Saver was a crude version of itself today but the concept to keep people safe while being active was born. That idea grew into an actual company, but with the strains of traveling for competitions the business was put on hold...
